We will be disabling Google+ as a login option on OLX on July 31. This is part of our efforts in making the platform faster by focusing on features that are essential to the OLX experience. We also disabled username login last month.
For those using only Google+, please add a mobile number by July 31 to continue accessing your OLX account. You may do so by going to your settings.
For those using Google+ but have other login options, you may access your account using those instead.
Those who need help with this can refer to the guide below.
Add a mobile number to your OLX account
Here’s how you can update your details using your mobile number:
Log in using your Google+ account.
Go to Settings.
Update your mobile number.
After July 31, if you attempt to log in via Google+ and you have no mobile number in your account, you will be asked to add one. (Make sure the mobile number isn’t already in use for a different OLX account!)
You will be sent a confirmation code to your phone. Use this to verify your account to proceed with logging in. After which, you may use that mobile number to log in.
If you attempt to log in via Google+ and you have a mobile number, you will be asked to log in using that mobile number instead.
And that’s it! Update your login details now:
We’re planning to make more changes to the site that will help make the platform faster and less complicated for everyone. Rest assured that we will let you know about these changes every step of the way.
